This is the quintessential Woody Allen movie in my opinion. Didn’t much cotton to the ANNIE HALL type stuff he did; I prefer the out-and-out silliness of these types of comedies.
TAKE THE MONEY AND RUN is a mock documentary on the life of inept criminal nebbish Virgil Stockwell. It’s better not to tell you about this if you haven’t seen it. Buy it, rent it, get it from the library, but DO see it.
This is a Chaplin-esque master at his best.
